“Coming of age” is celebrated in many cultures; customarily, in the U.S., the transition from childhood to adulthood is often treated as a significant event not only in a young person’s life, but in that of the parents and surrounding family. Whether it’s a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Quinceanera or Sweet 16, the celebration of the occasion can take on wedding-like proportions.

Joel has been fortunate in taking part in these hallmark events, drawing custom caricature drawings of the honored subject as well as guests.
